hello, I use a mig welder & mine is ok for thinner stuff like car panels etc, but not ideal thicker stuff like chasis but that said it is about 12 years old and not that powerful as some that are around. I am looking at this site to perhaps upgrade and I am seeking advice for a better welder. Perhapes there are some on the market that someone can suggest that will weld a wider range thicknesses that will be ideal for cars and not too expensive?

I use the Kemppi Evo Mig 200 and find it great for thin sheet metal and angle or box section welding. Its easy as you just set the thickness and it adjusts itself automatically
